Lillian Dow Davidson exhibited work in the 1940 1st Annual Vancouver International Salon of Pictorial Photography exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The artist was living in Vancouver.

She exhibited with the Camera Art Club of Vancouver at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1942 and 1943.

An undated photograph taken by Davidson of Frederick H. Varley painting in his studio was sold in 2016, per artpriceindex.ca website.

BC Vital Statistics on-line did not provide any confirmed information on the artist as of April 2021.

The City Directory for 1935 lists "Davidson, Lillian D. wid(ow) J.W. r(esidence) 2942 West 49th" (Avenue) in Vancouver. The 1934 Directory listed her as a widow, living at 4810 Osler. The 1933 Directory lists only Jas.W. retired r 4810 Osler. BC Vital Statistics on-line notes the death of "James Davidson" in Vancouver on June 16, 1934 at the age of 61, but no certificate is posted so additional details such as status of marriage and location of residence is not available.
