Eileen Cokely was an early graduate from the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts, receiving her diploma in 1933.

She won the Vancouver Exhibition Association Scholarship of $25.00, open to "third year interior decoration students" in 1931-32.

The Spring 1936 edition of The Smock Pocket, the Vancouver School of Art Graduates' Association newsletter, noted that she was "working in the office at Wingdam Mine in the Cariboo."
