The BC Festival of the Arts was a long-running BC provincial
festival from 1982 to 2002. Artists were requested to provide information about
themselves, which was collated into copysafes in 3-ring binders that accompanied the
exhibitions in 1999, 2000, and 2001. In 2022 the binders were given to me. The following
is a list of the artists represented in the binders. In many cases submissions were
made by an artist in more than one year, all of which are included in the binders. Most submissions include complete contact information, at that time typically mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, early e-mail addresses, and some websites. Submissions range from one page with a little bit of text, up to multi-page assemblies which may include original photographs, artwork, business cards, club cards, handwritten statements, and signatures. There are numerous CV's and biographies, from which all applicable information has been listed in the BC Artists A - Z index. The following "before and after" listing shows the typical amount of information added to the index:
