This photograph was apparently taken on Savary Island. It shows Fred Amess (center) sketching with a group of art students from the Vancouver School of Art summer camp. The photograph was quite likely taken by Harold Mortimer Lamb, as he was a known visitor to the island and this image has the diffused impressionistic look that he was fond of. The original photographic print is 6.5" high x 8.5" wide, and was provided for scanning courtesy of Ms. Mary Gray. |
