This image was drawn by Hal Woods, and used
to illustrate the October 1924 issue of School
Days magazine, published by the Vancouver School Board. The
drawing is intended to warn bicyclists of the danger of "grabbing
a hold on a passing auto" at a time when "at least one child is
killed every month on the streets of Vancouver."
