The person illustrated in this pencil portrait is at this point
unidentified. Other known artworks by Sherman include a
watercolour painting in the collection of the late Daryl Duke,
and a painting of Seton Lake that was exhibited in a 1920
Vancouver Sketch Club exhibition. Additionally,
numerous pen & ink drawings by Sherman were used as illustrations
for his many nature tales published by J.M.
Dent and the Vancouver School Board in
School Days magazine, but none of the
original drawings for these publications have been located.
