| This etching is one of Thorne's relatively early works, and was possibly first exhibited as his entry to the 1932 All-Canadian Exhibition. It was apparently again exhibited in his 1947 solo exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. At that time the price for it was $3.50. The end of the title on the etching is a bit unclear - it could be either B.C. or possibly P.O. (post office) or possibly even stand for "Printers Proof". |
