Bernice Wilson was an early graduate from the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts, receiving her diploma in 1933.

In 1931-32 she won the W.G. Murrin Scholarship of $50.00 open to "third year design and decorative arts students."

The Spring 1936 edition of The Smock Pocket, the Vancouver School of Art Graduates' Association newsletter, noted that she was abroad in Geneva, Switzerland.
