Sketch Club Holds Exhibition of Work at West Vancouver

     WEST VANCOUVER, Feb. 29. - An interesting exhibition of work done in the past season by members of the West Vancouver Sketch Club was held Saturday (Feb. 27) under direction of Miss B.A. Fry. Mrs. J.B. Leyland opened the show, which comprised oil paintings, watercolor sketches and block prints.
     Miss Fry exhibited a fine canvas of Mt. Cavell and Miss Gertrude Lawson showed two paintings that were particularly noticed, "The Lions" and a landscape sketched near Jasper. Mrs. H. Paton exhibited flower studies, while Miss Eva McBain had several sketches of British Columbia scenery.
     In the watercolor section Mrs. H.B. Gray showed some interesting sketches of West Vancouver, Miss Eileen Thompson, Miss Olga McLean, and Miss L. Lawson also exhibited in this medium.
     Lino-block prints, executed by Misses Fry, McBain, and Lawson and Mrs. T. Dick were also on view. Tea was served to the guests and musical interludes were provided.
