Clippings

""Pauline, A Serbian Refugee," by Dorothy K. Thompson is a creditable portrait. It captures the Slavic mask of hard materialism that hides a world of romance and aspiration. Its immobilitiy is the immobility of the Slav race and gives it the unquiet restfulness of an aparently extinct volcano."

      Vancouver Province, May 15 1923

"Miss L.O. Thompson," from the brush of Dorothy Thompson, is a fine, dignified piece of work. It has restraint, character and that sense of virility that lends so much charm to purely feminine faces where intelligence is added to form."
From "B.C. Society of Fine Arts - Annual Exhibition All This Week"
      Vancouver Province, May 7 1924

""Martha" by Dorothy Thompson is a thoughtful study. The eyes are very expressive and the mouth kindly. The shadows in the folds of the nurse's white cap and the delicacy of the muslin fichu are irresistibly expressed."
