Mrs. Law (m Robert Law)

Mrs. Law was one of the earliest artists to exhibit in Vancouver. She exhibited in the 
Association's First Annual Exhibition in 1890. The five 
paintings were on loan from her collection. She was also noted by Mrs. Webster as 
helping organize the meetings of the Art Association.
Her husband Robert Law was a school teacher. He becamed the first principal of Vancouver's 
First High School when it opened in 1890. The history of Vancouver's early high schools 
notes that this was a promotion from being an elementary school Principal, that he had 
a B.A. and a Ph.B (Vic). He resigned from the position at the end of 1891. In 1890 
they were living at 302 Oppenheimer, in 1891 at 531 Hamilton Street, according to 
the City Directories for those years. They were not listed in 1892.
