"Mr. Blake Hunt's "Rocks" in wet pastell, has the accuracy of a
photograph, with the reflections and coloring of an artist. The delicate green of
overhanging branches suggests spring. The whole picture has the charm that Macdowell
might have caught in a sketch in the key of D major."

"Those exhibiting included ... Mr. Blake Hunt ... "
From "Sketch Club Semi-Annual Art Exhibition"
B.C. Ladies' Mirror, December 15 1923
"In "The Debutante", a very happy study of a girl with flimsy draperies about the bust,
Mr. Blake Hunt showed himself an artist in wet pastel, and another study from life,
that of the noble and patriachial (sic) head and bust of an old man."
From "Sketch Club Exhibit Held"
Vancouver Daily World, February 4 1924
""Silent Water" is the work of Mr. Blake Hunt. This picture has
the charm of reflected colors. The water shows dark green, terre verte and silver-green.
The mountains are mauve, cobalt and grey, reaching up to a bank of clouds that allow a
patch of blue sky to shine through."

"Mr. Blake Hunt's "Color Note" in oil should be named "Color Chord."
It is a bold chord of blue, black, green, orange, red and white."
