Miss Hannah B. Bruce was an early exhibitor in Vancouver, starting as early as the 1916 exhibition of the B.C. Society of Fine Arts.

The exhibition catalogues of the B.C. Society of Fine Arts noted that she was a member of the Society from 1921 to at least 1930. She was not a member by 1936. B.C. Vital Statistics on-line provides the information that Hannah Black Bruce died in Vancouver on November 5, 1932 at the age of 56. No certificate is posted as of October 2021.
