Living room at 3642 Dundas Street

This Christmas photograph was probably taken by Stuart Thomson, a professional photographer who was boarding with the Sherman family. It is probably dated in the early 1940s, as R.S. Sherman and his wife are not present, although there is a place setting with a glass of milk for at least one person who is not in the photograph. There was probably an auxiliary flash used, for example note that Maud's shadow is not cast on the door from the location that the camera took the photograph. From left to right are Walter Camdon Sherman (Maud's older brother), Winnifred Shearman (Daryl Duke's mother, Maud's cousin), and Maud Sherman.

Donated to the author by Mrs. Joan Lindsay, Sherman's first cousin on her mother's side of the family.
