This Christmas photograph was probably taken by Stuart Thomson, a
professional photographer who was boarding with the Sherman family. It is
probably dated in the early 1940s, as R.S. Sherman
and his wife are not present. Back row, from left to right are Maud's older brother
Walter Camdon Sherman, Maud's cousin Joan Lindsay (on her mother's side of the family),
and Maud Sherman. Front row, from left to
right are an unidentified man, Maud's niece June Phyllis Sherman (Camdon's
daughter), and Chico the cat.
