| This photograph was taken by Charles West, the brother of Smith's wife. The image was used as an illustration in the 1950-51 Prospectus for Smith's school of art in Vancouver. The bust immediately behind the artist is by Smith, it is titled "Wong" and was illustrated in the 1941-42 Prospectus. Photograph provided courtesy of Randall Smith, the artist's grandson.
