| This tiny pen & ink drawing is one of a group of 18 drawings given to the author by the late Mrs. Joan Dendys, a long-time family friend and neighbour of the Sherman family. The 18 drawings were mounted on paper in two groups of 9. None of them are dated, 11 are titled. It is possible that they were assembled as part of a portfolio that Sherman put together when seeking admission to the first year at the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts in 1925, where she became a founding student. |
