School of Decorative and Applied Arts

(extracted from Chairman's Report in 1925 Annual Report)

During the past year, through the representations, and with the very material assistance of the B.C. Art League, you have established a School of Decorative and Applied Arts. This School, which had such an auspicious start on October 1st that already applicants have had to be refused admission on account of lack of accommodation, is filling a long-felt want, and is destined to grow rapidly in importance, and to hold a very prominent position in this Province.

Industry and Manufacturers, as well as the individual student, will be enabled to reap a very distinct advantage through the operation of this school.
