Dormer Kierluff de Breton Treffry
May 7 1877 - September 15 1916
Dominion Photo Company
Dormer Treffry was born in Cornwall, England. He came to Canada before
World War One began, and worked as a photographer for Dominion Photo Company
in Vancouver. He exhibited work at the Wanderbund Club in June 1913. In
1914 he was living at 1152 Seaton Street (later renamed as the extension to
Hastings Street) in a residence known as Lovat House.
He returned to England soon after the start of the war to join the British army.
He was killed in action at the Battle of the Somme, France, and was buried there.
