According to my self analysis, my nature has been two sided; a need for the romantic,
disciplined painting (examples of which I am showing) and a much more basic and vitally
important need for the creatively expressive painting upon which I believe the 20th
century form can only be expressed. I no longer think completely in terms of the examples
which I am showing and am convinced that the further the divergence from the hackneyed,
outmoded and culturally (socially if you wish) destructive thought by time past may help
us to see clearly into time future with vision unperverted by a tradition that has led
us blindly into repeatedly stupid follies. I shall paint what I paint, I shall paint
what I feel, I shall paint what I think and I will be at least honest!
