J.G. Fraser Ltd.
1938 - ?
J.G. Fraser Ltd. was an early artist's supply store in Vancouver. It opened
in 1938 at 602 West Pender Street. By 1944 they had moved into 621 Pender.
A 1945 newspaper clipping noted that the store was holding its annual exhibition
of BC artists, which presumably took place in other years as well.
1944 and 1945 invoices to the Vancouver Art Gallery.
There is a government document online that notes J.G. Fraser owed the
government $544.30 at the end of the 1947 fiscal year. The City Directories
list J.G. Fraser up until 1951, President E.L. Filer, but not afterwards.
