Ann Hillier McMenomin was a student at the short-lived BC College of Arts in Vancouver, attending the stage-craft and theatre-arts classes in 1933-34. The classes produced a modern adaption to Ben Jonson's comedy play Volpone at the College in January 1934, the play was well received by the press.

The National Gallery of Canada Library and Archives has a file on Hillier.
