Capt. George Lister Thornton Sharp, M.C.,
47th Inf. Bn., W. Ontario R. (G.S.O., III., 3rd Can. Div.). On 1st October, 1918, near Tilloy, north of Cambrai, he went up to the front line for the purpose of obtaining much-needed information regarding the situation. By short rushes and crawling he succeeded in getting forward to the most advanced posts and obtaining exact and most valuable information. During the whole of the operations he visited the front lines many times, and showed great courage and devotion to duty. (M.C. gazetted 7th November, 1918) |
