Capt. George Lister Thornton Sharp, Infy. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during an advance. He kept his brigade closely in touch with the situation, and sent back information which materially assisted them to advance through the leading brigade to the final objective. Later, he went over with the leading waves of the attack, and carried forward a telephone line, and under very heavy fire kept up information throughout the operation. He showed great calmness and courage. |
