Mr. Edward J. Cherry, F.R.S.A., was at one time
a member of our staff. He left Vancouver to go overseas and since that time
has made a name for himself in the art world, both here and on the continent.
Most of our readers are familiar with his delightful etchings. Mr. Cherry
is arranging to have a studio in Vancouver as well as in London, and on a
recent visit to the store kindly consented to give us one of his etchings
for our Christmas number. It is with particular pleasure that we present
on our first page "The Old Curiosity Shop," the mecca of many a traveller
to London.
