Miss F. Crickmay

Miss F. Crickmay was one of the earliest artists to exhibit in Vancouver, with a 
number of paintings exhibited in the First Annual Exhibition 
of the Vancouver Art Association in 1890.
BC Vital Statistics on-line does not provide any confirmation as to the identity of 
this artist as of April 2021. The 1890 City Directory does not list her as a resident.

**Editor's note: these five paintings are attributed to "Miss Crickmay" in the 
exhibition catalogue. It is not known whether the paintings were by 
Miss B. Crickmay or Miss F. Crickmay, two artists of that 
surname in the exhibition, and the paintings are thus listed twice, once in each woman's 
biographical summary. A "Miss Crickmay" also loaned a number of paintings to the 
exhibition.
