Ruth A. Creighton was a member of P.A.S.O.V.A.S., the Pioneer Art Students of Vancouver Art School, an artist's group formed in 1930 from the students who entered the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts in its first year and a half of classes in 1925 and 1926.

Creighton started classes at the VSDAA in 1925, while living at 1775 West 32nd Avenue in Vancouver. She did not graduate from the art school.

BC Vital Statistics on-line lists the marriage of Ruth Annette Creighton to Richard Westby MacMullen in Vancouver on October 6 1938. Creighton's employment was noted as Clerk. She was born in Vancouver c1908. This may be the artist.

The 1942 City Directory lists Creighton in "Tailors - Ladies" as "Creighton Ruth, Designer, dressmaking, alterations, 2255 W 41st Av home KE 3885. The 1954 Directory lists her in the same category, she was then living at 6021 West Boulevard.
