| This is a scan of an original cover, letterpress printed by Gerald Giampa, for a solo exhibition titled Giampa, Typographer held at the Burnaby Art Gallery from October 27 to November 27 1982. The detail below shows Giampa's incredible workmanship. He not only printed this highly detailed page in multiple colours with perfect registration, but he also designed, cut, and cast in lead the actual "ornaments" used in this design. A copy of the catalogue was given to me by Bob Macintyre, retired Curator/Preparator at the Burnaby Art Gallery. |
