| This colour woodblock print of Bow Lake is taken from a painting of the same subject by her husband Alfred Crocker Leighton. Using the Japanese style of watercolour printing, she would use numerous wood blocks to print the image. Many of the blocks would only cover portions of the image, in contrast to the typical method of printing where all blocks are full size but carved as necessary to not print certain areas. |
