| This small painting shows a village scene, presumably done during his visit to Tunisia in the late 1920s. At that time Westerners were not appreciated there, and Parker traveled in disguise under the protection of the French Foreign Legion. His paintings from that expedition were shown to great acclaim in Paris. |
