B.C. Vital Statistics on-line states that he died in Vancouver in 1954 at the age of 77.
A reference to a Patrick Barr is given in Harper, who lists the artist as active in 1880, painting "watercolour sketches of Moodyville and other B.C. towns". Perhaps there was more than one Patrick Barr.
