William Edwin Atkinson was born in Toronto, Ontario, and was an eastern Canadian
painter. Some of his paintings were loaned to the Studio Club
exhibition in 1909 from the collection of a Mrs. Watkins.
He exhibited with the Royal Academy from 1893 until 1923. The titles of his paintings
indicated that he travelled and painted scenes of Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, England,
Wales, Holland, and France.
