He exhibited in the B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery, including the 10th Annual in 1941 and the 14th Annual in 1945. He was living in Nelson at the time.
He exhibited with the Island Arts and Crafts Society in 1937.
He exhibited a pastel with the B.C. Society of Fine Arts in their annual exhibition in 1942.
Amsden died in Comox in 1992, his occupation noted as "farmer."
